Remote Control, sharing and voice
Remote Control
Section titled “Remote Control”Run /remote-control in a session. Forge prints a console link; open it on your phone or another computer, signed
in with the same account. The page shows the conversation live and has a box to send prompts, which Forge queues as
if you had typed them. /remote-control stop ends it and disconnects viewers.
The terminal and the viewers connect over WebSockets to a Cloudflare Durable Object for the room, using tokens signed by the API. The room keeps its last 500 events, so a viewer that joins late catches up.
/mobile explains how to use the console on a phone, where it works as a home-screen app.
Sharing
Section titled “Sharing”/share uploads a read-only copy of the conversation and returns a link (…/s/<id>). Anyone with the link can
read it. Delete shares in the console under Shares.
/voice records up to 60 seconds from your microphone with ffmpeg, sends it to Deepgram through Forge Cloud, and
shows the transcript before you send it. Install ffmpeg first (winget install Gyan.FFmpeg, brew install ffmpeg
or sudo apt install ffmpeg). Set voiceLanguage in settings (for example fr), or keep the default multi to
detect the language.
