Marketplace and plugin format

/plugin → Discover lists the marketplace. /plugin install <name> downloads a plugin into ~/.forge/plugins/<name>/ and checks every file against the SHA-256 in the index. Manage it afterwards with /plugin disable <name> and /plugin uninstall <name>. The index is public at /marketplace/index.json.

A plugin is a folder:

my-plugin/
plugin.json { "name", "version", "description", "author", "license", "keywords" }
commands/*.md slash commands (frontmatter: description, argument-hint)
skills/<n>/SKILL.md skills (frontmatter: name, description)
agents/*.md subagents (frontmatter: name, description, tools, model)
hooks.json hooks
.mcp.json MCP servers

Add the folder under marketplace/plugins/ in the Forge Cloud repository and run npm run build -w marketplace. The build checks every plugin: the name matches the folder, the version is semantic, frontmatter is complete, and there is at least one component. It then writes index.json with file hashes and copies it, with the files, into the website.
